Robert Murray (30 June 1869 – 9 August 1950) was a Scottish co-operator and politician who served briefly in Parliament as a member of the Labour Party.
==Early life==
Murray came from Bridgeton in Glasgow and in his early life worked as a Brass finisher and a pattern maker. He later moved to being a bookseller, journalist and author and settled in Barrhead. In 1894 he was elected to Neilston Parish Council, on which he served for nearly thirty years; he also became a Justice of the Peace for Renfrewshire. Prominent in the Cooperative movement he was sub-editor of its journal ''Scottish Co-operator''.〔Michael Stenton and Stephen Lees, "Who's Who of British Members of Parliament" vol III (Harvester Press, 1979), p. 258.〕
